Thanks to support from the Create Streets Foundation and a private donor, we are working with Ukrainians in the UK, in Ukraine and around the world to start considering a vision for rebuilding Ukraine’s streets and places.
To help support this vision we have started by asking Ukrainians to tell us what their favourite places, buildings and streets are using our Create Communities interactive mapping platform.
Why have you chosen this place? What does it mean to you? What sorts of places would you like to see in the future?
In October 2024, we hosted a private view of ‘In the Eye of the Storm’ exhibition at the Royal Academy followed by an introduction to the project. We then hosted an intimate exhibition in January 2025 where we gathered some of the reflections we have received along with photos and sketches of Ukraine today, historically and the imagined future to help catalyse the conversation to work towards a vision for rebuilding some of Ukraine’s streets and spaces.
