Street Assessment Service
For local authorities looking for an independent assessment to support a programme of street improvements, we provide a fast and affordable service using our research-backed Three Eyes Framework.
We assess and score your streets to give you a clear understanding of what is working, what is not, and give you recommendations to feed into your design.
Whether to green up, improve active travel or as part of a new development, establishing a baseline assessment of the street can provide strong support for a case for improvement.
Get in touch to enquire and we can scope your project.

Firstly, we assess the place quality at a ‘Birds Eye’ level, analysing the big picture, how the street does or doesn’t plug into services and street networks beyond the red line.

Secondly, we assess ‘Adults Eye’ focusing on street geometry, parking, walkability and accessibility

Finally, we get into the detail and assess ‘Childs Eye’ factors such as, street furniture, materials, lighting, planting and footway and carriageway details.
We have recently completed 3 eyes assessments for several sites across Surrey as part of Surrey County Council’s new street design guide and in advance of public realm improvements in Cranleigh and Caterham.
