Create Communities Privacy Statement

We take your privacy seriously. Below we explain how we protect your privacy, what data we do and don't store and what we use any stored data for. It also gives you information on how to have any data we do have stored of yours deleted. This has been updated to include the new EU GDPR legislation, which came into effect on May 25th 2018.

What information we collect and what we use it for

We only collect your name and address if you decide to provide it with your submission. Your information is required to enable us to keep you up to date with the project or ask you for further views on the project. We require your consent to this processing, but you may withdraw your consent at any time. If you do not give your consent, or you subsequently withdraw your consent, we won’t be able to keep you informed about the project.

How we use your data

Your personal data will be processed by Create Communities Mapping Ltd. They provide the mapping tool where your information is entered.

Your data will be held on computer and may be stored in a country outside of the UK. We will ensure that personal data will only be held within the European Economic Area or in a country with appropriate data protection legislation in place.

We will keep your details on our database unless you ask us to remove them.

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.

Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your information in certain circumstances.

Your right to object to processing - You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.

Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.

Cookie statement

Cookies are small data files that are placed onto your computer or mobile device when you use a website. We use this to identify the number of times a device has been used to anonymously answer our Create Communities surveys. Create Streets do not use cookies for marketing purposes
