Rochdale Boroughwide Housing
Create Streets have been working in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, for Rochdale Boroughwide Housing (RBH). Create Streets acted as the urban design critical friend to RBH's major regeneration of the Lower Falinge estate.
Create Streets undertook a critical friend review, writing up our findings into a report and organising a design review workshop with the team and architects responsible for the project.
The focus was threefold: strategy and vision; urban design principles and vision; and community engagement and co-design processes. The aim was to help ensure that Rochdale Borough Housing’s Lower Falinge regeneration project is carried out in an exemplary manner with exemplary community engagement and results.
