The design of an illustrative master plan for two developments within a rural Dorset village.
Split into two standalone developments, our proposals set out a bold and beautiful vision for the village, embodying the Create Streets principles on health, prosperity, beauty, liveability and access to jobs and education, as well as the preservation of the villages’ heritage. Following ongoing discussions with local residents, a master plan for site 1 was drawn up, proposing a total of 58 homes (40 per cent affordable) including a village green at the entrance of the site. The second site, located within the middle of the historic village, outlined a more mixed approach. As well as homes, the site proposals included a village green, a new post office and workplace, allotments and a new sustainable and beautiful extension to the local school.
